United Spine and Pain Center is an interventional pain management clinic located in Denton,TX. USPC is led by the founding physicians, Dr. John Ha and Dr. Jonathan Church, with more than a decade of combined experience.

Dr. Jonathan Church is a dual board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician who is passionate about helping patients find lasting relief from chronic and acute pain. He believes in taking a thoughtful, individualized approach to care—listening to each patient’s story, understanding their goals, and designing treatments that restore function and improve quality of life.

Dr. Church completed his medical training at some of the nation’s top institutions, including the University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he completed specialized fellowship training in interventional pain medicine. 

Before United Spine and Pain Center, Dr. Church spent five years in practice in Austin, Texas, where he cared for patients with a wide range of pain conditions—from back, neck, and joint pain to nerve-related disorders and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). He specializes in advanced, minimally invasive procedures including pain injections, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, sacroiliac joint fusion, and the MILD and Intracept procedures. 

With every patient, Dr. Church’s goal is simple: to reduce pain, restore movement, and help people get back to living the life they love.

Dr. John Ha specializes in comprehensive interventional pain medicine with a patient-centered approach and a commitment to excellence. He is known for his compassion and his dedication to improving the quality of life for his patients. As a double board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist, he brings a wealth of expertise and a holistic approach to medicine. 

Dr. Ha trained at some of the top institutions including anesthesiology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and interventional pain medicine fellowship at The University of Michigan. There, he trained in managing complex spine, nerve, and musculoskeletal pain. He has years of experience in private practice serving as one of the most reputable pain specialists in the area. He served as an attending physician, teaching many medical students, residents, and fellows. As an expert in neuromodulation, he continues to be invited to participate in growth and development in the field. His diverse background and extensive training enable him to provide the most effective and evidence based pain management solutions. 

Dr. Ha’s philosophy centers on treating the whole person and not just symptoms. He believes in strong patient-physician rapport and empowerment of individuals to take an active role in their care. The goal is to get back to doing what they love with less pain and more confidence.
